Sonoran Sun
Set ablaze by the blistering sun,
Sky flies and begins to run
Seductive rays, colors explode
Paintbrush gliding down a winding road
Shadows, silhouettes waltz with the breeze
Shades and harmony they appease
Rocky cliffs and mountain sides
Shining silver going out like tides
CHORUS
Another picture perfect sunset,
Beneath the Sonoran Sun,
(Is) laid to rest in the distance
The fall of night has begun
Swift swirls pastels of light
Abash all desert dwellers invite
Laid back as evening’s delight
A riot only the heavens incite
Scarlet fires and rings of gold
Every day another story is told
With every breath another one unfolds
Quick to change it can never get old
CHORUS |
